Startup Purdue will be the primary online resource for student entrepreneurship.
Students from Delta Mu Kappa, a co-ed entrepreneurship fraternity, and The Anvil, a student run co-working space, along with others from MsTech, a women-focused group, and 3 Day Startup, which is a weekend-long campus program focusing on helping students develop entrepreneurial skills, have all contributed to the website.
“We meet monthly to discuss our individual initiatives and events, and to discuss how we can better support each other. We work together to promote each clubs individual events and any other entrepreneurial-related event,” said Anuraag Yachamaneni, a member of the Purdue Student Entrepreneurship Council. “Ultimately, we want to establish a unified brand for student entrepreneurship at Purdue, which is where the website, Startup Purdue, comes in.”
Students interested in joining the community can find information through the Startup Purdue website.
“The entrepreneurial environment at Purdue is growing, and it is growing rapidly. If you’re a student who gets involved right now, you have so much room to grow as a person and the community as a whole. It is the perfect opportunity,” Yachamaneni said.
