News Release
Indianapolis, Ind. — The bustling downtown Indianapolis area will soon have a new go-to destination known for hand-crafted foods and its on-site brewery. Granite City Food & Brewery is set to open in the Circle Centre Mall on Wed., July 24, in the vacancy left by Bella Vita near P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Champp's Americana. The completely remodeled real estate now includes an outdoor patio and curb-side entrance on South Illinois Street.
The new downtown location creates more than 200 jobs in Indianapolis for local restaurant professionals and nearly 60 temporary positions for its construction crew. It is the fourth Granite City restaurant to enter the Indiana market and is the second grand opening in less than six months.
Along with introducing the restaurant’s newly designed modern interior, Granite City will also debut its first plated brunch menu and 70 lunch and dinner items. The 10,122-square-foot restaurant and brewery seats approximately 300 guests and offers guests an exceptional dining experience, complete with an on-site micro-brewery crafting a variety of awarding winning beer varieties.
To celebrate the grand opening, Granite City will partner with the Simon Youth Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Simon Property Group’s enterprising employees that strives to help at-risk youth graduate high school and develop life skills. In addition to donating 10 percent of the first week’s net profits up to $2,000, Granite City will also collect on-site donations during its pre-opening events and throughout the grand opening week.
“We are thrilled to be part of the vibrant downtown and Circle Centre restaurant scene and look forward to serving up our most popular made-from-scratch items alongside new dishes and our hand-crafted freshly brewed beers,” said Rob Doran, CEO of Granite City Food & Brewery. “Even more so, we are honored to partner with the Simon Youth Foundation. It’s the perfect way to celebrate an ideal location for our polished, casual restaurant while also giving back to a deserving organization.”
From the beer to the food, everything on the Granite City menu is prepared on site each day from scratch. In addition to more than 70 homemade menu items, there are also locally sourced ingredients from a produce company and bakery. The sophisticated yet unpretentious restaurant, proprietary food and beverages, attractive price points and high service standards combine for a restaurant dining experience that is quickly making Granite City a favorite.
Also known for its brews, Granite City Food & Brewery serves signature beers, made onsite, including The Duke (Pale Ale) and The Bennie (Bock). The handcrafted beers –also available in growlers- moderately priced and offer unique styles and flavors not typically produced by major breweries.
