The 2019 Best School Districts rankings are based on analysis of statistics, such as test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, teacher quality, and other factors. Fifty-percent of the tabulated scores were based on SAT/ACT scores and survey responses from students and parents.
Niche ranked the West Lafayette School District as best in Indiana with an overall grade of A+. The district received A+ grades in several individual categories, including academics, teachers, college prep and health and safety. The district is comprised of 2,158 students in 3 schools. The 2nd ranked district was Carmel Clay Schools, who was given a A+ rating, including individual A+ ratings for academics, teachers, clubs & activities and health & safety. Ranked third was Zionsville Community Schools, who also received an A+ rating, with individual A+ ratings for academics, teachers and college prep.
