Distinct was founded in 2013 and is currently housed within the The Tenzer Hub for Entrepreneurship. The company focuses on building a strong digital presence for local small businesses and nonprofits.
Founder and President Vincent Aguirre says the additional staff will help the small company serve its growing number of clients.
“We are a small business in Putnam County focusing our talent and energy to support small businesses with dynamic websites and service,” Aguirre said in written remarks. “We are committed to hiring new employees to service the 90+ projects we manage and continuing our exponential growth.”
Distinct has already hired three new members to its leadership team, including Holli Hill as community relations coordinator, Aaron Miller as business associate, and Ken Eitel as lead integrator.
“Distinct supports local businesses and organizations with just one example being the city’s revamped website,” said Greencastle Mayor Bill Dory. “A vibrant economy requires innovation and access to good jobs, and both are heavily in play here.”
According to documents filed with the IEDC, Distinct is investing more than $160,000 in the expansion. The IEDC has offered the company up to $350,000 in conditional tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
