Catapult Production Training is a four-week program focusing on skills required for various advanced manufacturing jobs.
The university says students will receive in-person classroom instruction, hands-on training and simulations, followed by internship opportunities and direct hires. Classes will be eight hours a day for four weeks and students will receive $12/per hour while attending. The university says 90% of students who complete the program leave with at least one job offer.
“Catapult Production Training is an innovative approach to engage a whole new segment of Indiana’s population with the manufacturing industry,” Vincennes University Jasper Assistant Vice President and Dean Christian Blome said. “VUJC is proud to partner with several community leaders to bring this ground-breaking opportunity to Southern Indiana.”
The free program concludes with a certificate of completion and participation in an exclusive hiring fair.
