Indianapolis-based Viral Launch has named Mitch Black president and chief operating officer. He most recently served as chief executive officer of Bloomington-based Author Solutions LLC. The company, which advises customers on how to sell their products through the Amazon marketplace, currently employs nearly 60 and is planning to expand to a staff of 250 by 2021.

Prior to leading Author Solutions, Black served as president of Indianapolis-based MOBI for five years. His previous experience also includes positions with Ingram Micro, then called BrightPoint, as well as PCS Wireless and Verizon Wireless.
