Vermillion Systems acquired by Georgia company

Subscribe NowSecurity systems integrator Vermillion Systems, headquartered in the St. Joseph County town of Walkerton, is under new ownership. Georgia-based Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired the Indiana company, though financial terms are not being disclosed.
Founded in 1999, Vermillion Systems provides fire alarm monitoring, video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection services throughout the Midwest.
President David Vermillion said in a news release that choosing to partner with Pye-Barker was an easy decision.
“From the first meeting, it was clear that the commitment to taking care of our team and our customers was a priority for Pye-Barker,” he said. “It became evident as conversations continued that our values, company culture, and business ethics are well-aligned. Knowing Pye Barker highly values our team and has resources to allow unlimited opportunities for growth makes them an ideal partner.”
Pye-Barker President Eric Garner declined to say how many employees Vermillion Systems has, but told Inside INdiana Business they all will be retained and there are plans to add “a number of new positions.”
The company said Vermillion’s local leadership team will also remain in place.
Walkerton, Indiana is located about 20 miles southwest of South Bend.
