Indianapolis-based United Hospital Services Inc. is constructing a nearly 56,000-square-foot facility in the Lake County city.
UHS, which is Indiana’s largest healthcare laundry service company, says it selected Hammond for its second facility because of its location.
The company says when the facility opens in December 2022, it will support 35 new jobs. UHS says it plans to add at least 100 additional positions over the next five years.
