UE lands $116,000 gift for scholarships

Susan J. Partenheimer earned three degrees from the university: a bachelor’s in education in 1977, a master’s in education in 1980 and master’s in counseling in 1987. She taught for 30 years within the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corp. the university said, and she later worked as a counselor at Huntingburg Elementary and Holland School.
The gift from Partenheimer’s estate will create lasting scholarship opportunities, the university said.
The private, liberal arts and sciences university serves about 2,000 students on its 75-acre campus. It offers more than 75 undergraduate majors and 11 graduate programs.
