The publication said the ranking was determined based on employee surveys and an evaluation of each bank’s policies and benefits.
The list includes the top 90 banks, and employees measured different areas of workplace satisfaction, including overall engagement, training and development, and work environment.
Merrillville-based Centier Bank is the highest-ranked Hoosier bank on the list at No. 11, down one spot from last year.
“At Centier, we listen to our associates to understand their needs, and we initiate new policies based on those needs,” Chrisanne Christ, senior partner in human resource development for Centier, said in a news release. “Over the years, this has included paid mental health days, access to no-cost professional development, and free, fast access to licensed health coaches and behavioral therapists.”
Muncie-based First Merchants Bank fell 16 spots from last year to No. 76.
The top-ranked banks on this year’s list are First Bank Chicago in Illinois, Oakworth Capital Bank in Alabama, and Origin Bank in Louisiana.
