The school projects undergraduate enrollment of over 2,000 students, an increase of more than 4 percent over last year.
The growth, the university says, also includes a 7.5 percent increase in its residential population, and a nearly 7 percent increase in the number of returning students. In all, Trine expects enrollment to top 5,000 students for the second straight year. Vice President of Enrollment Scott Goplin says the numbers show "we not only have more students coming to Trine University, we have more staying here once they arrive."
Trine is set to open the new Stadium Hall residence at the beginning of the fall semester, which adds nearly 250 beds to the university’s housing capacity. Earlier this year, Trine opened the $13.7 million MTI Center, a 3,500-seat arena that is home to the school’s basketball, esports and bowling teams.
