McKinney School of Law have announced a partnership. It allows Trine students to complete a juris doctor degree through IU in a combined 6 years of undergraduate and graduate work.
The deal also establishes the Trine University Law Scholar Program, which will provide one Trine student, or alumnus, each year with a minimum half-tuition scholarship and a guaranteed learning opportunity after completing 32 law school credit hours. “This agreement is a great benefit to Trine University students who are thinking about law school. It shortens the time and cost required to earn a law degree by a full year. As more than 57 percent of our main campus undergraduates are Indiana residents, this agreement with McKinney Law School is especially significant to us, and the new Trine Law Scholars program at McKinney Law makes this an even more attractive option for our students,” said John Milliken, J.D., professor in Trine University’s Department of Criminal Justice, Psychology and Social Services.
Trine students will have the option of finishing coursework at Trine after three years, with first year courses at IU McKinney completing their Trine bachelor’s degree. Trine has similar agreements with other Midwest law schools.
