David Templeton will lead Terre Haute-based Templeton Coal Co. Inc. as its new president, our partners at WTWO-TV report.
Outgoing president Curt Brighton will continue serving as chairman on the company’s board of directors. He has served in the role since 2011.
Templeton has served as a board member and vice president of the company. He also was the president and CEO of Templeton Coal subsidiary Glas-Col LLC for the past seven years.
As for boards, Templeton is on the executive board of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, the Terre Haute Economic Development Corp., Thrive Foundation, Swope Art Museum and Habitat For Humanity of the Wabash Valley.
In addition to Glas Col, Templeton Coal manages additional subsidiaries Dickson, Inc. in Seymour; Plumb Supply LLC in Des Moines, Iowa; and Riback Supply Co. in Columbia, Missouri.
