The commercial truck and trailer leasing said the facility employs 30 people with the potential for future growth.
The 56,000-square-foot facility sit son a 40-acre property at 4649 W 300 N near I-70 in Greenfield. The company said the new location expands its maintenance and reconditioning capabilities by handling 130 tractors and trailers per month.
The facility officially opened on June 22.
“The Greenfield facility is already increasing the level of service TEL is able to provide customers,” TEL President Jud Alexander said in a news release. “It is a great example of the level of growth we have achieved to date, with much more to come, as TEL expands from the Southeast across the Midwest and into Texas and the Southwest.”
The company declined to provide a specific dollar figure for its investment in the facility.
Alexander said the economic development zone in Hancock County is what drew TEL to relocate from its smaller, leased facility in Marion County.
The new facility brings TEL’s total headcount to 140 between Greenfield and its Tennessee headquarters. The company said there is potential of adding a second shift at the new location in 2024.
