Subscribe NowAfter a record-breaking event in Indianapolis this year, TechPoint is moving its annual Mira Awards gala north. The growth initiative for Indiana’s tech sector said Thursday that the event, billed as “the Oscars of Indiana tech” will take place at The Palladium in Carmel in 2025.
The 2024 edition of the Mira Awards took place at the Old National Centre in downtown Indianapolis and saw nearly 2,000 attendees, a record for the Indianapolis-based organization.
“We were intentional in engaging audiences new to Mira, such as educators, early-in-career professionals and students,” TechPoint CEO Ting Gootee said in a news release. “The resulting energy and excitement made for an extraordinary celebration.”
TechPoint said it looks to continue hosting high school and university student performance groups at the event, which took place for the first time this year. The organization also looks to build the gala with red-carpet highlights, pre-show and post-show networking and other opportunities.
“Mira is sold out every year, and capacity at the Palladium is only 1,500,” Gootee said. “Because of continually increasing demand, we expect the gala to be sold out well ahead of the event date.”
TechPoint added that submissions for the Mira Awards will be open far earlier than previous years, with more details forthcoming.
The Mira Awards honor the “Best in Tech” in Indiana, with categories such as Tech Innovation of the Year, Tech Company of the Year, and the Rising Entrepreneur Award.
