During the 2022 season, the downtown Indianapolis amphitheater hosted more than 50 concerts as part of the Jack Daniels Concert Series.
The venue, which features a 6,000-person capacity, hosted hundreds of thousands of guests from April through October.
“The demand was certainly there for Midwest concert fans who turned out in record numbers to see a vast array of entertainment throughout the summer,” said Doug Lefrak, regional VP of Live Nation. “It was a true testament to why this venue was upgraded and expanded. We are looking forward to 2023.”
Performers included Dierks Bentley, HAIM, Sheryl Crow, and ZZ Top, among others.
In 2018, the White River State Park Development Commission announced plans to transform the venue, previously known as The Lawn at White River State Park, into a permanent concert venue.
The $27 million project, which included the addition of 3,000 covered seats, new LED video walls, a permanent stage and a large canopy, was completed last year.
“Thanks to the artists, Live Nation, and Indiana music fans, the first full concert season at the new TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park was an overwhelming success,” said Jake Oakman, executive director of White River State Park. “We’re looking forward to continuing that momentum in 2023 and are thankful to the team at Live Nation for bringing the best entertainment to Indy’s backyard.”
