Taylor University Surpasses Fundraising Record

Subscribe NowTaylor University has received an anonymous $3 million gift for the university’s new academic building, which will house its film & media and entrepreneurship programs. The university says cumulative fundraising already exceeds $26 million for the fiscal year, the highest in the school’s history.
The university says the new film, media, and entrepreneurship building embodies its mission and innovation and collaboration priorities. The university says the anonymous gift follows a series of multi-million-dollar donations.
Taylor also recently received a $5 million gift from Chuck and Lisa Surack, as well as a $3 million gift from Ken and Virginia Cornwall for the same project.
“Generous gifts are such helpful investments,” says Rex Bennett, vice president of advancement at Taylor University. “The momentum we’re feeling is directly linked to Taylor’s longstanding relationships with alumni and friends. Incoming students and the greater Indiana community benefit from these waves of philanthropy. Together, we are equipping servant-leaders with the resources needed to thrive in the days ahead.”
A groundbreaking ceremony for the new building will be held later this year with more details being released at a later date.
