Prior to joining the firm, she served as city attorney for the city of Carmel and general counsel to the Carmel Redevelopment Commission. Ulbricht joins Taft’s Indiana municipal group which has experienced significant growth and includes several former corporation counsel and city/town attorneys.
She is a member of the Indiana Municipal Lawyers Association where she serves as a member of the litigation committee and has been appointed to serve on the AIM Utilities Policy Committee. Ulbricht is also a member of the International Municipal Lawyers Association and currently serves as vice chair to the Code Enforcement Section. In addition, Ulbricht volunteers on the events committee for the Carmel Youth Assistance Program and served on the board of directors for the Center for the Performing Arts. She is a graduate of Valparaiso School of Law and St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame.
Also, Attorney John Westercamp has joined the Indianapolis office. He is a member of the firm’s Business practice group, Westercamp focuses his practice on transactional and business aspects of the law, representing a wide variety of clients including private equity, small and medium-sized companies, and nonprofit entities. He assists his clients to grow and expand by helping them navigate regulatory compliance and facilitating commercial transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transactions.
He is a graduate of Purdue University, with an undergraduate degree, with high distinction, in Management and a master’s degree in Finance, where he was named a Krannert Scholar. Westercamp attended Indiana University at the Maurer School of Law in Bloomington and graduated cum laude.
During law school, Westercamp worked in the general counsel’s office at Indiana University. He has also worked as a summer law clerk for Judge Melissa May of the Indiana Court of Appeals and Justice Steven David of the Indiana Supreme Court. Additionally, he was a summer law clerk for Judge Jon DeGuilio in the Northern District of Indiana.
