The company says while it has provided wireless internet services in the town for several years, the addition of high-speed fiber internet will meet the increasing demand for reliable internet connections at work and school.
Surf estimates the project will provide more than 1,000 properties with fiber optic internet services.
“We are proud to introduce enhanced services to Westville and continue our commitment to bringing world-class broadband to rural communities in Indiana,” said Steve Carender, Surf’s director of commercial sales.
Surf says the project is broken down into 15 phases. Phase 1, which includes Stanley, Charlie, Lucy, and Carla Ann drives, as well as portions of Alan John and Jacob drives, will begin construction in May.
Surf says its has permitting in place for the other phases and plans to move forward with construction once the permits are finalized.
The project is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
