Mentor Media plans to invest nearly $7 million to occupy a portion of a 100,000-square-foot shell building currently under construction and create nearly 50 jobs over the next three years.
Officials from Mentor Media joined officials from the city of Warsaw and KEDCO to break ground on the project, which is slated to be complete by this fall.
KEDCO said the operation will serve as a medical device hub that will include controlled storage warehousing, a cleanroom and final packaging lines. The company also plans to offer supply chain services for its customers, including sourcing and procurement, operations management, customer service, warehousing, and global distribution.
“Warsaw is such a unique proposition with its strong orthopedic ecosystem and community,” Mentor Media President & CEO Lim Kok Khoon said in a news release. “We look forward to offering valuable state-of-the-art supply chain and medical device packaging solutions to this region.”
Mentor Media will occupy about 30,000 square feet of the shell building, located at 1395 Polk Drive. The building is being developed by West Hill Development LLC, which will complete the buildout of the space for the company.
The company plans to begin hiring for the facility before the fall. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. is offering Mentor Media up to $825,000 in conditional tax credits and training grants, which it will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
KEDCO said a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place later this year once the company has begun operations.
