Subaru foundation awards grants to 13 Hoosier not-for-profits

The Subaru of Indiana Automotive Foundation announced this week that it has awarded more than $133,000 capital grants to organizations from 10 counties.
The foundation awards grants twice annually to nonprofits seeking up to $15,000 for projects in education, arts and culture, or health and welfare. The foundation has given more than $3 million to nonprofit projects since its establishment in 1997.
Recipients of the foundation’s fall grant cycle include:
- Advantage Housing of Howard County: $14,780 for warehouse roof repairs
- Claude McNeal’s Musical Theatre Training Program of Marion County: $3,252.36 for headworn microphones
- Columbus Signature Academy of Bartholomew County: $1,703.44 for supplies to build a greenhouse
- Deeply Ingrained of Marion County: $14,844.58 for a trailer and woodworking equipment
- Gennesaret Free Clinics of Marion County: $13,895 for a lab analyzer
- Habitat for Humanity Lafayette of Tippecanoe County: $12,874 for a trailer and construction equipment
- Hershey Elementary School of Tippecanoe County: $7,929.68 for a portable planetarium projector
- North White School Corp. of White County: $12,904 for malletSTATION and accessories
- Olive Tree Resources of Floyd County: $7,500 for laptops
- Sheltering Wings of Hendricks County: $11,025 for furniture, décor and a TV
- St. Marin Community Center of Grant County: $14,000 for mobile cafeteria tables with attached seating
- West Central High School of Pulaski County: $8,235 for a kiln and accessories
- Young America Fire Department of Cass County: $10,560 for a cascade filing system
