The 10-year deal involves what will now be known as the St. Vincent Dolphin Pavilion and St. Vincent Dolphin Gallery.
The new deal builds on a relationship that already includes support of the zoo’s playground and Christmas at the Zoo’s LED lights, which are presented by Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent. The hospital also hosts zoo educators and dolphin trainers, who spend time with the patients.
The St. Vincent Dolphin Pavilion features several daily presentations featuring the dolphins and teaching viewers about the connection between Indiana and the Gulf of Mexico ecosystem. The St. Vincent Dolphin Gallery allows guests to go 17 feet underwater in what the zoo calls the nation’s first underwater dolphin viewing dome.
St. Vincent Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Nalli says the agreement builds on "our shared commitment of impacting and improving the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve, both now and in the future."
