The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority will host a partnership summit next month in Merrillville. The organization says the event will focus on topics including upcoming conventions and sporting events, new business technology and hospitality hiring practices.

Merrillville, Ind. — The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority will be hosting their 2015 Partnership Summit at the Radisson Hotel Star Plaza on Tuesday, Feb. 3. The summit is open to current partners as well as businesses interested in learning more about the services offered by the South Shore CVA. Cost of the event is $25 and includes a networking breakfast featuring attendees from local hotels, restaurants, attractions and other visitor service providers.

The 2015 Partnership Summit will include information on upcoming conventions and sporting events, marketing initiatives, and breakout sessions covering new business technology and hotel security. Additionally, attendees will hear from a panel on hospitality hiring practices. Summit attendees will have the opportunity to receive 15 percent off 2015's partnership contract.

There will be an optional lunch program explaining how to maximize a partnership with the South Shore CVA for an additional $10 per person.

Registration and the networking breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. and opening remarks will begin at 9:30 a.m. The summit will end at noon and the optional lunch program will end at 1 p.m.
