Simon to Redevelop Five Properties

The multi-million dollar plans include shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use developments.
The properties include: Brea Mall, Brea, CA, Burlington Mall, Burlington, MA, Midland Park Mall, Midland, TX, Ocean County Mall, Toms River, NJ, and Ross Park Mall, Pittsburgh,PA. "We are excited to redevelop the former Sears stores with uses that will benefit the community and the existing retailers in these destinations," said Michael E. McCarty, chief operating officer, Simon Malls.
Simon’s plan for the Burlington mall includes redevelopment into new restaurants and shops, and construction is scheduled to begin this summer. Ross Park Mall’s plans include a dining hall, retail shops, restaurants and three levels of entertainment, with construction set for this summer. Brea Mall will add a three-story Life Time Athletic destination, along with residential, entertainment and new retail. Simon plans for new stores, dining and fitness at the Ocean County Mall, with construction beginning in the fall. Midland Park Mall will see two new restaurants, a larger Dillard’s and a new retailer, with construction to begin this spring.
