Shelbyville robotics manufacturer acquired

Subscribe NowShelbyville-based Capital Industries LLC, a manufacturer of full-service custom robotics systems, has been acquired by Acieta, an industrial robotics automation company headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Founded in 1999, Capital Industries focuses on the production and integration of various robotics systems, including assembly, material handling and control systems, according to the company’s website.
Acieta parent Angeles Equity Partners LLC said the acquisition will further expand Acieta’s robotics automation capabilities across a broader set of end markets, including medical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and energy storage.
“Capital is highly regarded for its deep technical expertise in robotics automation systems integration,” Acieta CEO David Carr said in a news release. “By combining Capital’s highly technical team, technology, and high-performance culture with Acieta, we believe we are exceptionally qualified to address any customer’s industrial automation requirements.”
Capital Industries operates a 54,000-square-foot facility in Shelbyville.
Acieta did not specify if any jobs would be impacted by the acquisition. The company did not respond to a request for more information from Inside INdiana Business.
