Shelbyville industrial robotics manufacturer acquired

Subscribe NowShelbyville-based Capital Industries LLC, a manufacturer and integrator of industrial robotics systems has been acquired by Acieta, an industrial robotic automation company headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Capital Industries was founded in 1999 and specializes in build-to-print and fabrication services, in-house machining, and electrical panel building services, Acieta said in a news release.
The company said Capital with further expand its offerings to a broader set of end markets, including medical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and aerospace and defense.
“Capital is highly regarded for its deep technical expertise in robotics automation systems integration,” Acieta CEO David Carr said in the release. “By combining Capital’s highly technical team, technology, and high-performance culture with Acieta, we believe we are exceptionally qualified to address any customer’s industrial automation requirements.”
The acquisition closed on July 29. A spokesperson for Acieta told Inside INdiana Business there are no plans to reduce the workforce at Capital Industries as a result of the deal, but he declined to disclose the number of employees each company has.

Acieta is a portfolio company of Los Angeles-based private investment firm Angeles Equity Partners LLC. The deal for Capital Industries is the firm’s fifth acquisition in the robotics integration sector.
