She started her career in the auto racing industry and comes to the House with 20 years of experience in leadership, operations management, event planning and customer relations. Shafer Cates holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from California State University. She started volunteering at the Ohio State University emergency room while residing in Ohio and later extended that passion to RMHCCIN where she and her son volunteered to lead crafts and games with families.
Shafer Cates will provide leadership at both the House at Limestone and the House inside Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, managing guest relations and communications and ensuring that we are providing the highest level of comfort and care to our guests in a home-like and supportive environment.
