Rockport Joins Indiana Main Street

Subscribe NowThe Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs has announced the addition of Rockport to the Indiana Main Street program. OCRA also says the Association for a Better Rockport Inc., comprised of business and community leaders, is seeking nonprofit status to help improve quality of life in the Spencer County city.
The organization says it seeks to achieve its goal through utilization of the city’s history and natural resources.
"(Indiana Main Street) gives us a chance to come together as a community and showcase the City of Rockport to all of Indiana." said Rockport Mayor Gay Ann Harney. "I would like to personally thank OCRA for all of their help during the Indiana Main Street application process along with their support for recognizing Rockport’s hard work in reaching this milestone."
