This week, Reid executives celebrated construction progress on the new facility with crews placing the top-most beam in the building’s elevator shaft.
The new campus is going up at 2500 Park Road on the north side of Connersville. Reid says the medical facility will be nearly 107,000 square feet and will house an emergency department, radiology services, a pharmacy, laboratory service, and a variety of primary care space.
“As a lifelong resident of Fayette County who started her nursing career at Fayette Regional, I’m incredibly excited by what this new campus means for the future of our city and county,” Billie Kester, Reid’s Vice President for Ambulatory Care, said in a release. “This investment—the largest community investment in Connersville’s history—is a promise to the city and county that Reid will be here to deliver high-quality care for generations to come.”
One thing the facility will not have is inpatient hospital beds. Reid officials have previously told Inside INdiana Business they will transport patients needing extended hospital stays to Reid’s hospital in Richmond.
Reid says the campus is still slated to open in the spring of 2026. At that point, the health system will shuffle around many of its services to different facilities.
