The Pennsylvania-based health care network named Christine Schultz, previously CEO of Bloomington Meadows Hospital, as its new leader in Indianapolis.
Recovery Centers of America operates a 112-bed residential and outpatient treatment center at 86th Street and Township Line Road on the north side of Indianapolis. The treatment center, which opened in December 2020, specializes in substance use disorder and mental health services.
“Christine Schultz brings a wealth of clinical and operational leadership experience to our Indianapolis treatment facility,” Recovery Centers of America CEO Brett Cohen said in a news release. “She has already been a visionary leader in Indiana’s behavioral health community, and along with her talented clinicians, will advance the RCA mission of saving one-million lives nationwide from the scourge of substance use disorders.”
Before joining Bloomington Meadows Hospital, Schultz served as the chief nursing officer for Valle Vista Health System in Greenwood. Schultz is originally from Helena, Montana, where she served as director of inpatient services for Shodair Children’s Hospital while also on the nursing faculty at Helena College.
“Working as a clinician and administrator in behavioral health has always been my passion,” Schultz said. “Restoring lives on a path to recovery is what I think about when I wake up, and what I think about when I finish my day. There are not enough hours in a week to do everything we must collectively do to help Hoosiers reclaim their lives.”
The new Indianapolis CEO earned an undergraduate degree in nursing from Carroll College in Helena and holds a Master of Business Administration from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
