Purdue NW announces nursing school dean

Subscribe NowAmy Fry will serve as the next dean of the College of Nursing at Purdue University Northwest, the university announced this month. She has served as the interim dean since July 2023 and was selected as the permanent choice after a national search.
Fry is a registered nurse, has been a clinical associate professor of nursing and was the director of the college’s online nursing programs.
“I am honored to be chosen as the dean of the College of Nursing at Purdue University Northwest,” Fry said in a news release. “The College of Nursing is known for its exceptional education that prepares its students to be effective and innovative leaders in health care.
Fry also was a clinical faculty member and associate dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. She has 12 years of undergraduate and graduate-level teaching.
“Dr. Fry brings a wealth of clinical nursing expertise that will directly benefit our students, as well as experience managing allied health, online and graduate programs,” said Kenneth C. Holford, chancellor-elect as well as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, in a release. “I am truly excited about the future of Nursing at PNW.”
The nursing school has 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students and 45 faculty and staff members.
