Purdue Research Foundation President Brian Edelman announced Scott Henderson will serve in the role. Henderson is an international commercialization expert who will lead the Purdue Foundry and Purdue Ventures.
Henderson comes to Purdue from Sandbox Communities, which he formed in Atlanta four years ago. Henderson devised social environments in university research parks and mixed-use districts, which he’ll now do for Discovery Park District, a designated opportunity zone.
“Purdue is known worldwide for its innovations and innovative results,” Henderson said. “I’m excited to join this community and look forward to bringing people together at Purdue’s Discovery Park District and beyond.”
Henderson succeeds Dan Hasler, who was named Purdue’s executive vice president for communication in September. He begins his work at Purdue on January 7.
