Plastics manufacturer details Indiana layoffs; blames UAW strike

A spokesperson tells Inside INdiana Business the move is the result of a reduction in sales due to the ongoing United Auto Workers Strike.
The Howe facility, located about 170 miles northeast of Indianapolis, provides plastic injection molding services for the automotive industry.
In a notice to the state, Exo-s said the layoff is affecting machinists at the plant, and separation benefits are being provided to the affected employees.
The company declined to provide any further information on the layoffs, including when the affected employees might be brought back.
