The Northern Indiana Brewers Association expects each of the breweries to release Hoppy Wheat the same week, in conjunction with the Brewed IN the Fort craft beer festival.
The 20th annual edition of the event will also feature the debut of the Northern Indiana Beer Trail passport. It’s set for Saturday, September 8 at Headwaters Park in Fort Wayne. Around 50 breweries are set to take park.
The Northern Indiana Brewers Association says Hoppy Wheat will be the first of many projects and events that the organization will use to promote local craft beer. The group’s goals include strengthening relationships among northern Indiana breweries, boosting their business and increasing their reach.
Breweries involved in the association include: 2Toms Brewing, Auburn Brewing, Bare Hands Brewery, Chapman’s Brewing Company, Evil Czech Brewery, Goshen Brewing Company, GuessWork Brewing Company, HopLore Brewing, Hop River Brewing Company, Junk Ditch Brewing Company, Laotto Brewing, Mad Anthony Brewing Company, Orthocity Brewing, Summit City Brewerks and Trubble Brewing.
