The two partners have presented the Indiana Farm Family of the Year award in each of the last 26 years.
The recognition honors one Hoosier family a year that has shown exemplary work on their farm, service to the community and to the agricultural industry. Past recipients have hailed from across the state, from Allen to Vigo counties.
“Family farms are vital to the agriculture industry but are also an integral component to rural communities,” Beck’s President Scott Beck said in a news release. “This award recognizes a family who strives to serve both.”
Nominations are now open and will continue through Sept. 30. The winning family will be recognized at the Indiana Farm Bureau State Convention in December and the Purdue Fish Fry next February.
“As a family-owned agricultural business, AgriNews believes in the importance of farm families, and we want to spotlight their significant contributions both on and off the farm — in agriculture and in their communities — while thanking one special family, in particular,” Indiana AgriNews Executive Editor James Henry said in the release.
