New leader for Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science

Evans has experience as a not-for-profit executive with a background in development and fundraising, and public service administration, the museum said Monday. She’s held previous positions with Mesker Park Zoo and WNIN Tri-State Public Media.
“The Search Committee, Board of Trustees, and Museum staff are eager to welcome Jennifer and are confident she will lead the organization to further heights as the arts, history, and science destination of the region,” Stephanie Engelbrecht, chair of the museum’s search committee, said in a news release.
When she assumes her new role, Evans will succeed Mary McNamee Bower, who will become executive director emerita.
“During one of the most critical and exciting times in the Museum’s history, it was important to identify a new leader who could build upon the great success and foundation that outgoing Executive Director Mary Bower has created,” said Adam Borgman, president of the museum’s board of trustees. “We identified Jennifer as a local leader and know that she will bring her community connections, business acumen, and leadership qualities to the Museum.”
According to a press release from the museum, Evans will as executive director on July 22nd.
