Michigan-based Amerilodge Group is expanding its Indiana footprint with the opening of a new hotel in Michigan City.

The hotel management group now operates six hotels in the Hoosier State with the opening of a Holiday Inn Express & Suites.

The company says the 90-room hotel will add 25 new jobs.

Amerilodge says it used a new design, called “Introducing…Formula Blue,” for this location. The company says the concept offers flexible workspace, horizontal luggage storage and newly designed décor.

The hotel firm says the lobby is an open lobby layout and is designed with the business traveler in mind. It’s located off Interstate 94.
