The organizations said the partnership will lead to a more diverse talent pipeline.
“There is a critical need for synergizing efforts to improve the prospects of an equitable and inclusive future,” MANRRS national president Derris Burnett said in a news release. “This shared approach between MANRRS and FFA is important for making agriculture more accessible, removing barriers for young people and supporting the advancement of NextGen careers in the industry.”
The partners did not detail any specific strategies to achieve their goals. But FFA CEO Scott Stump said the MOU will be a catalyst for advancing their shared goals.
MANRRS is based in Atlanta, Georgia and “welcomes membership of people of all racial and ethnic group participation in agricultural and related science careers,” according to the organization’s website.
