Illinois-based Reyes Beer Division has completed its acquisition of Monarch Beverage Co. in Indianapolis. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however Reyes says it adds more than 6,000 retail accounts and hundreds of employees to its operations.

Plans for the acquisition were first announced in October. Reyes says the approximately 600 Monarch employees will join the company.

“The Monarch organization has been very engaged throughout this entire process, and we look forward to working with the new members of our team to strengthen the business together,” said Tom Day, chief executive officer of Reyes. “As we leverage Monarch’s leading distributor reputation, we are confident we can learn from one another to make Reyes Beer Division stronger and continue building on our company’s purpose of connecting customers, consumers and brands every day, everywhere we operate.”

Monarch Beverage was founded in 1947.
