Michele Saysana appointed president of IU Health Physicians

Subscribe NowIndiana University Health and the Indiana University School of Medicine have appointed Michele Saysana as senior vice president of academic medicine and executive associate dean for clinical affairs, a role traditionally titled IU Health Physicians president.
Saysana was most recently chief medical officer at IU Health’s adult academic health center, previously co-chaired the IU Health Physicians Quality Committee, served as the chair of the Indianapolis Coalition for Patient Safety Board of Directors and co-led the Riley Physicians Quality Network.
Saysana joined the IU School of Medicine faculty in 2006 and is a professor of pediatrics. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Indiana University and a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Kevin Gebke, senior vice president of community medicine, will continue to serve as interim president of IU Health Physicians until Saysana’s appointment becomes effective Oct. 1.
