Methodist Hospitals Opens Valpo CareFirst Facility

Gary-based Methodist Hospitals has launched a CareFirst facility in Valparaiso. The hospital says the facility is the fourth CareFirst Immediate Care center in northwest Indiana, in addition to facilities in Crown Point, Merrillville and Schererville.
Methodist Hospitals says the facility offers a family practice physician office as well as specialty care, including orthopedics, cardiology, neurology and podiatry.
“Methodist Hospitals is proud to launch this new facility, which brings a one-stop source for convenient and cost-effective care to the Valparaiso community,” said Matt Doyle, president of Methodist Hospitals.
CareFirst provides treatment for a variety of common illnesses and minor injuries, such as colds, flu and fevers. Methodist Hospitals says the facility will be open during evenings and weekends as an alternative to emergency room visits.
