Solv Metals announced this week its acquisition of WickFab Inc., headquartered in the town of Avilla, though financial terms are not being disclosed.
WickFab was founded in 1993 by John Wicker and was bought Joe and Cheryl Cochran in 2016. The company specializes in metal processing services, including metal forming, laser cutting, water jet, and welding, Solv Metals said in a news release.
“We are honored that Joe and Cheryl Cochran have chosen Solv to help steward WickFab’s legacy. This strategic acquisition embodies our mission to grow and innovate in the manufacturing sector,” Solv Metals CEO Mark Webb said. “WickFab’s dedication to quality, community, and customer satisfaction perfectly aligns with our values, and we are grateful to be able to add WickFab to the Solv family.”
WickFab has 30 employees, and a spokesperson for Solv Metals confirmed to Inside INdiana Business that all of them will be retained in their current roles, including the Cochrans.
“We chose SOLV because they understand our values and are committed to preserving the culture that has driven WickFab’s success,” the Cochrans said in a joint statement. “We are excited to see how this partnership will advance our capabilities and service our customers.”
The acquisition brings Solv Metals’ total employee headcount to 240.
