Our partners at WTWO-TV report Union Health in Terre Haute and Carmel-based Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine Physicians are joining forces to provide neurosurgical services to a wider group of patients.
Rebecca Lynch, general surgeon and chief medical officer of Union Health, says the partnership will take brain and spine care to the next level.
“We want it to be very comprehensive. We want it to be seamless,” said Lynch. “There are going to be patients that need to be transferred for care but we hope that the number of patients that needs to be transferred becomes less and less over time, and I think this is really going to go a long way to give patients that really high level of neurosurgical care that is done right here at home.”
According to Lynch, the partnership and corresponding care programs are available immediately.
Goodman Campbell also has locations in Avon, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Indianapolis, Mooresville and Wisconsin.
In November, the company joined officials from Ascension St. Vincent to break ground on a new, $325 million Brain and Spine Hospital at the Indianapolis hospital.
