Muncie-based Medical Consultants has entered into an agreement with IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. The partnership will allow Medical Consultants to continue its multi-specialty care, including at its outpatient surgery center.

The agreement goes into effect October 1. Gordon Hughes, president of Medical Consultants, says patients should see no change in their care or the location of the provider’s physician services. "They will still be able to see their same specialty physician in the same location."

IU Health says the partnership will greatly benefit patients and the community. 

"With any decision we make, it always starts with what is best for the patient," said Michael Haley, president & CEO of IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. "We’ve always had a good working relationship with the physicians and staff at Medical Consultants, and this further strengthens the ease of access to healthcare offered locally for our community."

Medical Consultants has locations in Muncie, New Castle, Anderson, Portland, Winchester, Upland and Marion.
