Lakeland Internet to offer fiber connections in Hamilton

The company’s Fiber-to-the-Home project is expected to bring “ultra-fast, reliable internet” to homes in the area about 160 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
“We are extremely grateful for the support and cooperation we have received from the Town of Hamilton, its council, and Town Manager Brent Shull,” Lakeland Internet General Manager Mark Byler said in a news release. “Our combined dedication to technological progress marks a significant step forward for the community of Hamilton, and will no doubt have a transformative impact on its future.”
Lakeland Internet officials say their work replacing traditional copper wire with fiber-optic cables will bring a more robust internet connection.
The service will become available following a phased rollout. Initial connections are expected in the coming months.
