On Tuesday, Lake City Bank announced it has bought another building to add to its downtown campus to serve as an Innovation and Technology Center.
The building is at 122 East Center Street in Warsaw, directly across from the bank’s longtime headquarters. The purchase adds 35,000 square feet of space over three stories.
In a news release, Lake City Bank CEO David Findlay said the new space will be renovated and modernized to house the bank’s technology operations like its tech services, information security and project management teams.
“Since 2010, we’ve invested approximately $30 million in our Warsaw facilities and in our Kosciusko County bank offices,” Findlay said. “We have fully renovated and modernized our entire Warsaw footprint. We’ve proudly taken older buildings and brought them back to life with these major capital investments in our hometown.”
The bank did not disclose its financial investment in the building.
Lake City Bank employs close to 300 people across the soon-to-be six buildings in downtown Warsaw.
The building itself was built in 1968 by the United Telephone Company of Indiana. Lake City has been leasing the third floor since 2012. The building was most recently owned by Brightspeed internet.
