Financial terms of the deal with Cassady Electrical Contractors are not being disclosed.
As part of the merger, Huston has established Cassady Electric LLC, which will serve as a division of Huston while maintaining the nearly 60-year-old Cassady brand.
Cassady was founded in 1965 and specializes in commercial, industrial and medical construction, with services ranging from historic renovations to residential and commercial electrical service, Huston said.
“Our union with Cassady Electrical Contractors is a strategic step forward in our mission to provide unparalleled electrical services and contracting work across Indiana,” Huston Electric President Matt Huston said in a news release. “This merger is not just a blend of two companies but a fusion of shared values, expertise, and a vision for a brighter, more innovative future.”
Huston Electric said the merger aims to leverage each company’s strengths and resources to enhance service offerings across a broader geographical area.
Cassady currently has about 90 employees who will join with Huston’s 480 workers. A spokesperson for Huston said there will not be any negative impact on employees, and there are plans to add jobs as the integration of the two companies goes on.
“Huston is committed to preserving and enhancing the unique identities of both companies while fostering a cohesive and unified environment,” said Huston co-owner Matt Boor. “Both Huston and Cassady share the distinction of being family-owned businesses with a proud legacy of delivering quality workmanship and demonstrating unwavering dedication to our communities.”
The merger was made official on April 1.
Huston Electric also has locations in Franklin, Lafayette and Westfield.
