More than 60 employers will be on hand looking to fill over 1,800 job openings at the event, being held in conjunction with WorkOne Northeast.
The job fair is scheduled to take place from noon to 3 p.m. at the university’s International Ballroom at Walb Student Union.
Northeast Indiana Works said in a news release that the employers represent a variety of industries, including manufacturing, health care, and transportation.
“Northeast Indiana is home to both a talented workforce and innovative employers,” Banks said in the release. “This job fair will showcase hundreds of job openings and all employers will be ready to hire. Wherever you are at in your career journey, there will be a place for you there.”
Representatives from Purdue Fort Wayne, Indiana Wesleyan University and Indiana Tech will also be in attendance for individuals looking to further their education.
Officials from WorkOne Northeast will be on hand for job seekers looking for help with their resumes, job interview techniques, and information on short-term certification-based training opportunities.
“The job market of late has become more competitive, not only in the number of open positions available but also in the skills required,” said Edmond O’Neal, CEO of Northeast Indiana Works. “This job fair and the guidance provided by WorkOne are terrific opportunities to start or enhance a career.”
