Jeffersonville Quarterfinalist in ‘Road to Recovery’ Contest

Subscribe NowDowntown Jeffersonville is one of more than two dozen communities to be named quarterfinalists in the 2021 America’s Main Streets “Road to Recovery” contest. The competition is designed to promote the importance and economic benefits of Main Streets across the country and the small businesses that help them thrive.
The quarterfinalists are competing for a $25,000 cash grand prize from Independent We Stand, which hosts the competition. Online public voting for the next round continues through December 12.
“We are so thankful to the dedicated people who helped Downtown Jeffersonville get to the quarterfinals in this nationwide competition,” Jay Ellis, executive director of Jeffersonville Main Street Inc., said in a news release. “We hope people will continue to remain committed in the next round of voting to get us across the finish line.”
The list of quarterfinalists was whittled down from more than 216 nominees after nearly 500,000 votes were cast. The winner of the contest will be announced December 20.
