IU Health Names Bauer President

He has been serving IU Health in a consulting role since 2017. Bauer’s healthcare executive leadership spans more than a decade, having served as chief executive officer for Terre Haute Regional Hospital and most recently as chief executive officer for Lutheran Hospital/Lutheran Health Network.
He received his undergraduate degree from Butler University and a Master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Bauer served as a member of the transition team for current Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb. He has served on the board of several statewide and local groups including the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, Mad Anthony’s, Indiana Hospital Association, Greater Fort Wayne Inc., the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership and the Northeast Indiana Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, Bauer received the title of Sagamore of The Wabash.
